Qamar's Treasures is run by Qamar Al-Shefa'a and her partner Lester, affectionately known as Glitterboy. Qamar is a dancer and started this business as a cottage industry back in 2006, sewing custom dance bras, skirts and Sleevie Wonders in her small Vermont home. As time went by, she added other items to her line, including Eye Kandy glitter, jewelry from several countries including Peru and Afghanistan, and small accessories such as hip scarves and bindis. Lester is a wonderful behind the scenes support and has been known to vend at events when Qamar is unable to attend. When not attending belly dance events or up to his neck in glitter and dance goodies, Lester can be found at Rennaissance Faires throughout the country spreading joy and laughter with his giant hand carved wooden rocking horses.
